Each unit also benefits from useful features such as a volume control, mute button and engineer’s reset button. They can easily be tested to ensure they are still working and a light will be illuminated when the mute button is pressed. Access to the panels is gained via a hinged door and a tamperproof screw so clients can be certain their system is safe and secure at all times, other than when they specifically choose to access it. Different panels are available for either flush or surface mounting applications, to take into consideration the different requirements of different healthcare providers.

Area Valve Service Unit

The Single Area Valve Service Unit (AVSU’s) are manufactured under BS EN 13485 Medical Devices: Quality Management Systems and Medical Devices Directive 93/42/EEC class IIb. They provide a local gas isolation facility for use during normal installation and maintenance or in the event of an emergency. They are built in accordance with the HTM02-01, C11 and BS EN 18082 standards and are suitable for Oxygen, Nitrous Oxide, Oxy-Nitrous Oxide, MA4, MA7, CO2 and Vacuum (other gasses available upon request).

Area Alarm Panel

Pressure is monitored via a transducer in the pipeline downstream from the last AVSU, this pressure is monitored for both high and low pressure (low only for vacuum). A fault on the cabling between the pressure transducer and alarm panel would result in a system fault alarm and as a result, the integrity of the cabling is incomparable.

Digital Area Alarm is available in two different and versatile installation models. The alarm unit provides an indication of 3 conditions of gas, normal, Low pressure, and High pressure for up to 6 Gas services.

Each service has a green normal, red high-pressure, and red low-pressure indication, the vacuum service has a green normal and red low-pressure indication and is programmed via an antimicrobial touchscreen display.

Master Alarm Panel

Master alarm panel provides continuous monitoring of medical gas installations across hospitals and other healthcare providers. It monitors up to 4 conditions for each gas and up to 6 gases per panel, giving clients comprehensive information about the state of their supply at any given time.

The system is easy to install and also to operate, with only 1 pair of cables used as interconnecting wiring. The alarm system meets the current HTM02-01 and HTM2022 specifications.
